In the world of beauty products, nothing is as important as being able to try a product for yourself and see if it suits your personal style – and that’s something luxury beauty brand Yves Saint Laurent was obviously well aware of as it staged an interactive brand activation at Westfield Centro giving visitors the opportunity to try out the brand’s latest make-up range “Looks Sur Mesure”. From 10 to 15 July 2023, beauty fans were able to obtain style advice and familiarize themselves with the high-quality items.

AI for glamorous looks in the Mitteldom

The glamorous YSL stand caught people’s eyes from afar in the Mitteldom of the shopping destination in Oberhausen. Decorated in delicate shades of gold and white, in keeping with the brand image itself, the store radiated glamour and class. Unobtrusive, the stand nevertheless stood out due to its prominent positioning, and attracted quite a few customers. Another eye-catcher was the accompanying media campaign on the UDS in bright shades of purple and red with white lettering.

At the stand, customers were able to discover the entire new “Looks Sur Mesure” make-up range and try it out for themselves. Lipstick, mascara, foundation or concealer – the luxury brand’s complete product range was available at the exclusive store. Yves Saint Laurent used computer technology to put the finishing touches to this unique experience and make it interactive. Customers’ faces were scanned using AI to produce a personalised make-up plan for each visitor. And best of all: the dedicated stand personnel were able to turn this plan into reality right away upon request. The result could be captured then and there at a photo station with a YSL backdrop, and the photo could be taken home as a keepsake.

Products on sale directly at Westfield Centro

The perfect make-up plan created using AI thrilled customers and gave them an experience they’re sure to talk about for a long time to come. Anyone wishing to recreate their personal AI look at home was able to purchase all the products they needed right there at the Douglas store at Westfield Centro. Customers were also given an exclusive Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Illuminating Pen as a free gift – for glamorous looks any time.
