Premium SUV electrifies visitors at Westfield Centro

It may be barely available yet in Germany, but it’s already on show at Westfield Centro: shortly after the launch of the smart NIO EL6 e-SUV, the premium Chinese brand presented itself in the popular shopping destination in December 2023. For almost two weeks, there was no getting past the sporty, elegant vehicle in the Mitteldom as an exhibition model at the NIO stand invited visitors to get to know the vehicle.

To make this possible, door handles and railings had to be removed from the entrance gate. The team also overcame technical challenges with ease, as security reasons meant the presentation at the mall was only possible in “offline mode”, i.e. with the battery disconnected. Even so, the futuristic, minimalist interior was indeed an impressive sight.

Competition and test drives attracted great numbers of visitors

The company also used the 360° UDS screen to draw attention to a competition as part of the promo. Both the stylish metallic blue car and the chance to win a road trip worth 10,000 euros attracted numerous curious visitors to the promotion stand. The information totems offered all key information on the sustainable all-round SUV.

Anyone wishing to get an impression of the driving experience of the all-electric luxury car was also able book a test drive then and there. NIO had reserved spaces especially for demonstration vehicles in one of the Westfield Centro multi-storey car parks, enabling visitors to step straight into the new NIO EL6 just a few paces away from the stand in the heart of the centre.

Long-term collaboration planned

To reach even more interested parties, NIO also advertised the campaign on its social media channels, drumming up the greatest possible attention for the extensive promotion during the Christmas season when the centre is exceptionally busy. Following the successful promotion, the manufacturer is already planning a longer-term collaboration – with a showroom, the “NIO Space Mobil”.
