Pop-up stores are all about exclusive experiences: Their temporary presence makes them entertaining and offers brands a unique presentation space – as well as giving customers the opportunity to become better acquainted with the brands in question. Influencer Karo Kauer also knows this – in fact she’s going one better with her latest campaign: touring throughout Germany in the summer with a show truck, i.e. a travelling pop-up store, presenting her current fashion collection. The travelling shop had one-day stopovers during June and July at Westfield Centro, Düsseldorf Arcaden and Paunsdorf Center.

Show truck catches everyone’s eye

It wasn’t just the truck’s size that impressed people – its black matt design also caught everyone’s eye, and inside it waited the highlight everyone wanted to see – the new collection accompanied by the influencer herself who was all ready and waiting for photo calls and conversations with fans and followers. More than 560,000 people follow Karo Kauer on Instagram, and many took the opportunity to see her live.

The truck enables Karo Kauer to showcase her collection to best effect along with the brands she cooperates with. She focuses on combinations of classic basic pieces and unique statement pieces. Anyone wishing to adopt her style simply had to drop by because the garments on display were only available to customers directly on site – underlining once again the exclusivity of a pop-up store.

Queues form in front of the truck even before it opens

In the run-up to the roadshow, the Westfield Rise centres were busy promoting the event via their social media channels. And to great effect too, with long queues already forming before the truck even opened its doors. Hundreds of fans wanted to see their idol and the new collection live.

The Düsseldorf Arcaden team offered an additional incentive complete with a competition for Karo Kauer’s products. There was also a Schweppes bar where visitors could get free Wildberry Lillets mixed. The summery refreshment sweetened any waiting times and was also very well received by the beauty fans.
