Christmas? It’s still a long way off! Maybe, but for anyone looking to make their mark during the pre-Christmas season with a memorably hip promotion, the planning cannot start soon enough. Indeed, the possibilities at URW centres are limitless, as Fossil proved so impressively last year in Oberhausen. Between 3 December and Christmas Eve, a Christmassy pop-up stand in collaboration with jeweller CHRIST opened its doors to eager gift shoppers in the ‘Mitteldom’, the central cupola at Westfield Centro.

Personalised gifts and festive greeting cards

The German motto of the festive campaign translates as “Our classics for glittering times”. Visitors had the opportunity to purchase a personalised Christmas gift from this American fashion brand known for its timelessly stylish watches. The promotion stand also offered an attractive add-on service, as every watch purchased was able to be specially engraved free of charge. And to make a super gift into a perfect Christmas gift, the product was wrapped in festive paper, and a personal greeting card added – featuring a photograph taken at the stand.

Fossil was able to secure a real premium spot for the campaign, in fact the pop-up store was impossible to miss – situated as it was on the large promotions area right outside the jeweller’s store – and painstakingly decorated, as befits the festive season, with Christmas trees, Advent wreaths and stylish decorations in green and red.

Extensive media campaign attracting attention

Even away from the stand itself, the Christmas promotion was everywhere to be seen, with festive media and signage throughout the centre – and outside – drawing attention. Even on arrival at the centre, a gigantic poster greeted motorists near the parking areas, and digital totems around the shopping centre guided people specifically to the Mitteldom.
