In the merry month of May – which heralds the start of summer with a fair number of sunny days – GALERIA provided a summery beach-club feeling with an unusual outdoor pop-up presence on the Luise-Albertz-Platz square outside Westfield Centro in Oberhausen (15 May) and on the forecourt of Westfield Ruhr Park in Bochum (16 May). A 30-square-metre “Beauty Circle” attracted visitors with interactive stations, cool prizes and plenty of holiday atmosphere. An unforgettable brand experience in the open air.

Playful moments under a blue sky

To this end, GALERIA put on a number of highlights aimed at generating as much attention as possible and offering the many interested people a highly memorable experience involving a charming, pink-coloured electric van complete with built-in photo studio where visitors were able to take photos for all they were worth before printing them out to take home as souvenirs. A special highlight was that the printouts contained QR codes that customers could use to collect a bulging goodie bag from the GALERIA shop in the shopping centre. But that was by no means all, with super-sized versions of classic games such as “Four Wins” and “Cornhole” providing fun and excitement in the open air at the Beauty Games station. The winners received stamps for the Beauty Pass which could be exchanged for prizes such as smoothies and exclusive beauty samples from well-known top brands – all products that are naturally also available to buy in the respective GALERIA store.

Fresh looks and summer relaxation 

The “Glow & Go Station” was another major attraction, with make-up artists perfecting visitors’ make-up or giving them all-new radiant looks to prepare them for summer. Beauty ambassadors handed out helium balloons shaped like make-up products. Anyone looking to relax was also well catered for, with guests able to chill out for a while on comfy deckchairs and beanbags under stylish GALERIA-look sunshades in the Beauty Lounge.

With games, photos, stylish looks and a comfortable lounge, the GALERIA Beauty Circle offered a relaxing yet exciting break from the hustle and bustle of shopping. The QR codes for goodie bags motivated visitors to visit the GALERIA store where many were able to discover other products in addition to their free gifts. GALERIA showed how strategically planned outdoor promotions can increase customer footcount and boost brand appeal.
