Keyfacts
  • 3D LED wall with impressive visuals
  • Interactive wall plus competition
  • Test drives on the spot

Many visitors come to Westfield shopping destinations to stroll or look around. Others have a clear goal in mind, such as new trainers, headphones or a summer dress. But it’s often the unexpected discoveries that arouse curiosity – and sometimes they even lead to an unplanned test drive in an EV. This is exactly what happened to many people between 12 and 14 June at Entrance 5 of Vienna’s Westfield Shopping City Süd where the BMW Cube – a sci-fi-like construction – caught people’s eyes right away, inviting them on a voyage of discovery.

An eye-catcher packed with high-tech

The exterior 3D LED wall certainly attracted a lot of attention with its impressive displays of the Bavarian car maker’s electric vehicle offering. Inside, visitors were greeted by an ultra-modern interior, with a stylish lounge and check-in area on the ground floor plus an interactive wall giving fascinating insights into the BMW electric family, plus a competition with sought-after prizes. The upper floor featured a bar offering refreshments and a stylish decorative wall giving a feel-good atmosphere.

From a shopping spree to a spontaneous test drive

As a highlight, the stylish EVs were able to be tested right there on the spot. Many visitors who were actually “just out and about” spontaneously got involved and turned their shopping day into a driving experience. One thing quickly became clear: the BMW Cube not only attracted a lot of attention, but also aroused genuine enthusiasm for modern electromobility. The unexpected switch from a shopping trip to a driving experience left a lasting impression on a lot of people, demonstrating how easily innovation can be experienced in everyday life nowadays.
