Welcome to the Gang
There’s a lot going on at Westfield Rise right now, with new projects, exciting partnerships and fresh ideas at every turn. In short: more opportunities than ever. That’s exactly the reason why the Gang has grown, doubling in size. Soleyman Zafar and Aylin Er have recently come on board, bringing with them just the right mix of energy, curiosity and team spirit to drive us forward.
Soleyman has launched into his role as Media Manager, making a positive impression right away with his friendly smile, insight, authenticity and winning style. Today, his childhood dream of being a pilot is giving way to intellectual highs: he loves psychology, decision-making dynamics and discovering things other people overlook. “Someone who challenges my way of thinking” is exactly the kind of encounter he’s looking for. Team feeling is his sweet spot – achieving goals together and making each other better. Talking of sweet spots: apart from fashion, his guilty pleasure is sweets. In culinary terms, he’s also a big fan of Qabuli Palau, an Afghan rice dish. He’s always on the move between the gym, his reading pile and the search for thrills. No wonder he felt at home here so quickly.
Aylin is helping us as a student employee, bringing order to our chaos! Her superpower is planning, so the chaos doesn’t stand a chance now. She looks people straight in the eye right from the word go, is helpful and loves the creative interaction within the team which gives her the energy that drives her. Her guilty pleasure? Audio books to fall asleep to. Comfort food? Grandma’s home-made Turkish pizza. And she’d like to meet herself as a child to show herself how well the journey’s gone so far.
Our Quarterly Team Meeting is coming up again soon, and the timing couldn’t be better because, after the strategic updates, we then move seamlessly into “Quality Time” as usual, where a surprise activity awaits. Yes, shared experiences quickly turn new members of the Gang into “firm fixtures”.
